Travel and Tourism BTEC Level 2 First Diploma students took a trip to Hollywood Bowl as part of their customer service unit. They investigated how important customer service is for organisations and how the needs of customers are met. They were given a talk from the Manager and then had the opportunity to play bowls. Congratulations to Ellie who won both games!!

On The March For Pudsey

Students once again gave up their time to raise money for Children in Need. Over 40 students dressed up in their pyjamas and night wear and walked from the Farnworth Campus to the centre of Bolton. Many other activities took place in College including a table tennis tournament, a sponsored silence, cake stalls and raffles. Karen Mansfield (Senior Tutor and Teacher of Health & Social Care) said “The students have gone the extra mile this year and have put a lot of effort into organising a whole variety of activities and we have raised over £1000.”

This organisation has been running for the past 20 years and has now grown to become the largest Christmas shoebox appeal in the UK. Students filled boxes for a variety of age groups and included gifts such as sweets, soft toys, games and pens. They all said they had a lot of fun choosing the gifts and were pleased to be able to contribute to such a worth while cause.
